  1. Guidance Notes:

i)             Grad Blog: You have received the only email that Guidance will be sending this year from Mrs. Inglis last week. Please remember to be checking the blog regularly for updates in regards to important graduation and scholarship information. The grad award link is now posted on the blog but you need to know where you are headed next September prior to completing the awards application.

o   If you wish a copy of your Community Hours record, please ask for one at the Guidance Office.

ii) Nomination Form: Some scholarships require that you be nominated by your school administration. There is a link to this form on the grad blog. You must complete the form and email it in to Mrs. Beauchamp. Decisions as to who TDSS will nominate for such awards will be based on these applications. Please make note of deadlines dates for such awards and allow plenty of time to complete these applications and for TDSS to make a decision.

iii) Reminder to still be checking your emails regularly. This is the vehicle for communication for colleges, OCAS, universities, OUAC, bursary/scholarships, OSAP etc to contact students with important information.

iv) Pre-Admission Testing: You should be investigating whether or not you are required to complete additional PRE-ADMISSION testing for your college and university program. Review the Pre-Admission Testing Procedures in the Guidance Section of the TDSS website or on the blog for the contact information required to make arrangements for the possibility of completing your testing through Employment Options at Northern College in Haileybury.

v) Don’t forget to pick up your OUAC pin numbers in Guidance if you are applying to University this year.

6. Thanks to Guidance department
