Bill 7 Award -  DEADLINE AUGUST 5th

The Bill 7 Award is open to LGBTTQ2S Ontario students who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited and/or queer.
Each scholarship is $2,000 and in 2016 they will be awarding 10 scholarships in total.

Tracy Gauvreau Scholarship Fund - DEADLINE JULY 15th

The Temagami Public Library is accepting applications for the Tracy Guavreau Scholarship Fund. To be eligible students must be entering the education field (teaching, educational assistant or early childhood education) or library field, be a resident of Temagami and submit an application outlining your goals, achievements and contact information.  Submissions can be dropped off or mailed to the Temagami Library.

MONSANTO FUND OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP - DEADLINE JUNE 15th

The Monsanto Fund Opportunity Scholarship Program is available to students who are enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution in a program related in agriculture, food science or culinary.  Successful applicants will each be awarded a scholarship valued at $1500 based on academic standards and leadership.

OPP BURSARY - DEADLINE APRIL 25th

For each OPP Region in Ontario, the OPP Youth Foundation will provide two bursaries, each valued at $1000, for students who are attending a post-secondary institution or who are pursuing an apprenticeship. 

Application criteria includes financial need, academic ability and need and participation in an OPP Summer Camp Program (optional).

There are information/ application packages available in the Guidance office if this is of interest to you.

BRIAN SCHUBERT MEMORIAL BURSARY

Are you interested in or have you applied to post secondary school in an Agricultural related field?  If so, don't miss out on applying for this bursary for $1000.  The following criteria will be looked at:
a) scholastic achievement
b) future goals
c) agricultural experience
d) other activities
e) receipt of other awards under the same program

CTS CONSULTANTS INC.

These scholarships are available annually to two Canadian citizens who are academically gifted, well-rounded, and will be pursuing their first undergraduate commerce/finance/business degree/diploma at a recognized post-secondary institution. 

This program is aimed at those students whose parents/guardians do not have a post-secondary education or received their post-secondary education outside of Canada.

JAMES BARTLEMAN ABORIGINAL YOUTH - DEADLINE MAY 31st.

This award is for Aboriginal students who possess a creative writing talent!  Each year, the award program recognizes up to 6 Aboriginal Youth for their creative writing talent.  Pieces can include short stories, poems, essays, plays, songs or comic strips.  All submissions must be original works.  Recipients will receive a cash award of $2500 each.

Here is what you need to do to submit a creative writing piece for this award:
a) Visit Ontario.ca/bartleman
b) Download the appropriate PDF form
c) Read the criteria and instructions carefully
d) Fill out the form and submit it along with your creative writing piece by May 31st

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS ONTARIO - DEADLINE JUNE 3rd.

The Temiskaming Chapter of the Professional Engineers Ontario is pleased to offer one scholarship in the amount of $1000!  Any Grade 12 student within the District of Temiskaming who will be attending an engineering faculty at an Ontario university accredited by the CEAB can apply.  The recipient will be chosen based upon academics, extracurricular activities, community service and interest in pursuing Engineering as a profession.  The application below must be completed as well as an essay explaining why you want to become a Professional Engineer.

OJEN JUSTICE BURSARIES - DEADLINE APRIL 29th.

The Canadian Cancer Society's scholarship program recognizes youth who through their volunteer activities (with them) have demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer and their families.  At cancer.ca/youthscholarship you can find more information about the two following scholarships:

Gertrude & Leroy Rellinger Scholarship

*If you are a current Canadian Cancer Society volunteer and 21 years of age or less you may be eligible for a $5000 entrance scholarship for your post-secondary education.  Must be completed by March 15th.

 

Stackhouse-Bates Family Scholarship

*If you are a current Canadian Cancer Society volunteer and 24 years of age and under and currently enrolled in a pot-secondary program you have a chance at $5000 as well.  Application deadline is also March 15th.

LEONARD FOUNDATION - DEADLINE MARCH 15th.
